Fifteen categories, read as parcel behaviour

Every category below is a real section of the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue with a page you can open. What we have added is the part a browsing catalogue has no reason to tell you: how each one behaves once it shares a box with fourteen other things.

The W2CSpreadsheet brand row showing labelled brand tiles under a Brands heading
The catalogue is indexed twice, by category and by brand. Everything below follows the category axis, because that is the one that predicts how a parcel behaves.

Three fields per card, and why they are the same three every time

Size, colour option and quantity. Those are the fields that travel from the listing to the order, and the fields you retype yourself when AllChinaBuy cannot read a listing automatically. The chips under each category name the version of those three that the category actually uses. Pin them down per link here.

Four sneakers listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Sneakers

Two sellers, two size charts, one foot.

Sneaker listings from different sellers label the same foot differently, and the option you pick is what the buyer orders. When four pairs go into one run, confirm each pair against its own listing rather than against the pair you ordered last week.

Four t-shirts listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

T-shirts

The filler that makes a run worth submitting.

A tee is the cheapest thing to add to a list that is already going out, which is why runs grow by tees rather than by jackets. The trap is the option string: three colours and five sizes is fifteen different orders, and the buyer orders exactly the one you pasted.

Four hoodies listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Hoodies

Light to carry, expensive to fly.

Hoodies weigh little and take a lot of room, which is exactly the case where volumetric weight decides the bill. If your run is mostly hoodies, read the shipping calculator before you decide how many go in one parcel.

Four jeans listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Jeans

Dense enough to change the parcel you can send.

Denim is heavy for its size. A run that adds two or three pairs late can push a parcel past the limit of the delivery type you had in mind, and the fix at that point is to take something out and submit again.

  • length

Four shorts listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Shorts

Flat, light, and easy to lose track of in a long list.

Shorts compress to almost nothing, so they rarely change the box you end up paying for. What they do change is the length of your list, and a list of twenty needs its own check that every line still resolves before you submit.

Four underwear listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Underwear

Ordered in multiples, returned in none.

Hygiene rules make a return unrealistic, so the size chart on that specific listing is the only check you get. People buy these in threes and fours, which multiplies a single misread chart across the whole run.

Four jerseys listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Jerseys

A name and a number turn one line into a custom order.

Printed jerseys are made after you order, which puts them outside a normal return and adds days to a run that would otherwise be ready. If one line in your list is customised, it decides when the whole parcel can leave.

Four hats listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Hats

They hold their shape, so they cost volume not weight.

A cap will not compress, and six of them take the space of a jacket while weighing almost nothing. That is a packing remark rather than an order field, and it belongs in the note you write when you submit the parcel.

Four eyewear listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Eyewear

Fragile, and the case is bigger than the glasses.

Eyewear needs the hard case to survive the trip, and the hard case is what takes the room. Reinforcement is one of the parcel services you can ask for, and asking is part of submitting, not part of ordering.

Four bags listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Bags

The item that will not lie flat.

Bags hold their shape, so they set the shortest usable dimension of the box everything else has to fit around. They are also the category people most often want photographed from a specific angle, which is a request the warehouse can only act on if you ask.

Four watches listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Watches

Check this one against the restrictions list first.

Watches sit in the group of goods that carry a battery, and AllChinaBuy publishes what can and cannot fly on each route. Read that page while the watch is still a link, not after it is sitting in the warehouse with nine other things.

Four belts listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Belts

Sized by strap length, not by the waist you know.

Belt sizing is measured end to end and varies between sellers, so the number you wear is not the number you order. They coil flat around the edge of a box and add close to nothing to the freight.

Four headphones and audio listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Headphones and audio

Small enough to forget it is a battery.

Earbuds and portable speakers are easy to add late and easy to overlook when you check a parcel against the restrictions page. Treat them the same way you would treat any other battery in the box.

Four perfume listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Perfume

Liquid, so it plays by its own rules.

AllChinaBuy says plainly that liquids, powders and creams need non hazardous certification for air transport and advises against shipping them in bulk, while a small quantity may be possible on certain routes. Read their wording before you build a run around it.

Four jewelry listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Jewelry

Small, light, and the reason a form asks for a value.

Jewelry adds almost nothing to weight and quite a lot to what you declare. Declared value is a field you fill when you submit the parcel, so know what is in the box before you get to that screen.

Four figures listings from the W2CSpreadsheet catalogue

Figures

The box is the product, and it must not be crushed.

Designer toys ship in packaging that collectors care about, which makes them the one category where a repack request is the wrong instruction. They are large and light, so volume rather than weight sets what the parcel costs.

Two things worth checking before the box is built

Both are cheap to check while an item is still a link and expensive to discover at the submit screen.

Isometric illustration of a van being loaded with pallets and boxes
Consolidation is the point of a run. The two checks below are what stop a run from arriving at the box and failing there.

Weight and volume. AllChinaBuy publishes a shipping calculator that takes a weight and three dimensions and shows you routes. Their own FAQ explains volume weight and states that each delivery type has a weight limit, and that an over weight parcel cannot be submitted until you remove something. Denim, outerwear and shoes are the usual culprits.

What is allowed to fly. Their help centre carries a mail restrictions page. Their shipping FAQ says directly that cigarettes, alcohol, medicine and prohibited items cannot be shipped overseas, and that food, liquid, powder and cream items need non hazardous certification for air transport, with bulk shipping of those discouraged. Perfume, batteries and anything with a battery in it live in this conversation.
